Local content concept

Beyond merely developing and building solar PV generating facilities, CleanPowerInnovation™ is proposing a fully integrated concept, whereby local manufacturing capacity (wafer/cell/module/racking/inverters, etc.) will be developed in parallel.  The company targets this local content to increase over time to reach 80% within 10 years.

Development Engineering Procurement and Construction

CleanPowerInnovation™  will ultimately guarantee the kWh output and cost. Thus, the company will be responsible to develop, engineer, procure and construct the solar generating facilities on time, within budget and will minimize the environmental impacts. The company, directly and through its strategic partners will create a local solar infrastructure that will be competitive with market prices and will guarantee bankable quality products at lowest cost of goods sold. Further, the company will help develop solar products that are compatible with the arid and harsh  climate of most of these countries.

Manufacturing Operation

The guaranteed local content will be competitive with the best products available in the market to guarantee output and cost at the kWh level. For that purpose, the company will oversee the entire manufacturing operation for each supply chain components delivered to the solar plants.

For instance, the company will guarantee: kW outputs, manufacturing yields, product quality, cost of goods sold and conformance along with continual improvement of work practices.  The company would oversee the local manufacturing of wafer/cell/module as well as inverters and storage. 

Technology Advancement and Continuous Manufacturing Improvement

The company is bringing years of experience and expertise in technology development, fast production ramp up and high quality volume manufacturing. To ensure continual products innovation and manufacturing improvements such as throughput, efficiency, cycle time, class yield, the company will set up procedures and work practices in conformity to ISO 9001:2008 standards. In addition, due to the long term business agreements, the company will be able to implement new disruptive technology paths into the local content supply chain to enable further kWh cost reduction.
